Role Overview

As a Domain Expert in Mathematics, you will serve as a senior reviewer and advisor on complex mathematical cases used to train and evaluate AI models. You will contribute to clinical evaluation frameworks, lead structured review processes, and provide expert advisory support to client teams assessing AI model outputs. This role is designed for mathematics faculty who are rigorous, methodical, and curious about AI evaluation and model development.

What You'll Do

• Lead senior-level review on complex or ambiguous mathematical problems and datasets.
• Facilitate structured resolution of disagreements among reviewers.
• Contribute to the development of mathematical evaluation frameworks for AI models.
• Provide expert advisory hours to client teams reviewing AI model outputs.
• Author guideline-aligned commentary on cases and problems as needed.
• Provide subspecialty consultation where appropriate.

Requirements

• Faculty appointment at Assistant Professor level or above at an accredited US institution.
• Minimum 3 years post-doctoral or post-degree experience in an academic or research setting.
• Active involvement in peer-reviewed publication in mathematics or a closely related field.
• Strong written articulation of mathematical reasoning suitable for peer review.
• Ability to lead and document structured consensus processes.
• Prior exposure to AI evaluation, computational mathematics, or related digital research (desired).
• Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate-level mathematics.
• Deep familiarity with current mathematical standards and methodologies.
• Disciplined adherence to project protocols and timelines.

Engagement Details

• Type: Independent Contractor (1099) — Pay Per Task
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous; approximately 15 hrs/week, up to 40 hrs/week during peak periods.
• Duration: 4 weeks (with potential for extension)
• NDA required upon engagement; full scope of work shared after NDA execution.
