Domain Expert – Retail/Wholesale Trade | $23–$30/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to bring on experienced retail and wholesale trade professionals for an AI model evaluation project. In this role, you will help improve the accuracy, reliability, and safety of AI-generated responses in domain-specific contexts — work that has a direct and meaningful impact on how AI systems serve professionals and consumers alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Write realistic, domain-specific prompts that reflect how professionals and consumers seek guidance in retail and wholesale trade
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, regulatory correctness, and practical usefulness
• Identify fabricated claims, incorrect references, or misleading reasoning in model outputs
• Score and rank multiple model responses using structured rubrics across key quality dimensions
• Provide clear, evidence-backed written justifications for each evaluation decision

Ideal Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant professional or business field
• Hands-on professional experience in retail, wholesale trade, or a related advisory capacity
• Familiarity with industry-specific standards, regulations, and best practices
• Strong written communication and critical reasoning skills

Project Details

• Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week
• Pay Rate: $23–$30 per hour
• Work Style: Fully remote, flexible schedule
