Mercor is seeking experienced Editors to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This remote contractor engagement offers the flexibility to work independently on your own schedule while contributing your expertise to cutting-edge AI research.

About the Role

You'll play a critical role in diagnosing and solving real issues within your domain by creating and reviewing deliverables that support AI research advancement. This is an opportunity to work with frontier AI projects while maintaining full control over your schedule and methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain
• Review peer-developed deliverables to improve AI research quality and accuracy
• Collaborate asynchronously with a leading AI lab on cutting-edge projects

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in editing or related field
• Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and spelling proficiency
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively

Project Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous work environment
• Expected workload: ~30 hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours
• Project duration: approximately 3-4 weeks
• Start date: immediately

• Hourly compensation: $60-80/hour
