AFTERQUERY is seeking licensed electricians to help build the troubleshooting and code compliance scenarios that frontier AI labs use to evaluate model judgment on real-world trade work. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay.
Your expertise will directly shape how AI systems understand and reason through electrical diagnostics, NEC compliance, and field decision-making — meaningful work that bridges skilled trades and cutting-edge technology.
What You'll Do
- Develop realistic troubleshooting scenarios and code compliance challenges for AI model evaluation
- Document diagnostic reasoning clearly and thoroughly in written English
- Apply your field knowledge of the National Electrical Code to create accurate, nuanced test cases
- Work asynchronously on a flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week
Requirements
- Journeyman or master electrician license in a US state or jurisdiction
- 2+ years of field experience beyond apprenticeship
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Clear, professional written English for documenting reasoning and scenarios
- Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week
Compensation: $50–$90/hr, paid weekly. Fully remote and async — work on your own schedule.
