Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) | AI Training Consultant | Fully Remote | Contractor

Turing is seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician to help fine-tune and evaluate large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT. Your clinical expertise will directly shape how AI systems reason through high-acuity medical scenarios — improving accuracy, safety, and empathy in AI-generated medical content.

What You'll Do

• Design and solve advanced clinical scenarios drawn from real emergency medicine practice, including acute trauma, rapid differential diagnosis, resuscitation, and toxicology.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for diagnostic accuracy, clinical judgment, and evidence-based reasoning in high-stakes settings.
• Identify gaps in AI understanding across emergency medicine presentations and procedures.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and fellow medical professionals to improve model quality and reliability.
• Provide structured, expert feedback that informs next-generation AI development for clinical and educational applications.

Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree; active clinical practice within the last 3+ years.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Comprehensive knowledge across emergency medicine — trauma, resuscitation, toxicology, and acute care.
• Ability to articulate complex medical reasoning in clear, accessible language.
• Excellent written and spoken English; familiarity with digital medical tools is a plus.
• Education from a top-tier institution (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Oxford, or equivalent).

Engagement Details

• Commitment: 20–40 hours/week (minimum 4 hours/day, with overlap in PST)
• Type: Contractor/Freelancer (no medical or paid leave)
• Duration: 1 month, with possible extension
• Location: Fully remote, collaborative environment
