Endocrinology Physician | $140–180/hr | Part-Time | San Francisco

Mercor is seeking Board-Certified Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (EDM) Physicians to support a cutting-edge healthcare AI partner developing clinical decision-support tools for chronic disease management, metabolic disorders, and hormone-related conditions. This is an in-person, part-time role (up to 10 hours/week) with flexible scheduling in San Francisco.

Help shape the future of medical AI by translating complex endocrine decision-making into high-quality training data for next-generation healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Data Annotation

  • Annotate clinical notes, labs, and treatment plans for diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal disease, lipid disorders, obesity, and metabolic syndromes
  • Label medication adjustments, insulin regimens, CGM insights, and patient outcomes

Quality Review & Validation

  • Review datasets for adherence to ADA, AACE, and Endocrine Society guidelines
  • Validate AI-generated care pathways for glycemic control and endocrine disorders

Knowledge Contribution

  • Define edge cases including refractory diabetes, polyendocrine syndromes, and medication intolerance
  • Support taxonomy development for metabolic and hormonal conditions

Model Evaluation & Feedback

  • Assess AI-generated summaries, dosing logic, and clinical recommendations
  • Flag inaccuracies and safety risks related to endocrine management

Requirements

  • MD or DO with Endocrinology/Diabetes/Metabolism specialization
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology
  • Active U.S. medical license in good standing
  • 5+ years of post-fellowship clinical experience
  • Strong experience managing chronic metabolic disease
  • Familiarity with EHRs, labs, ICD-10, CPT, and SNOMED
  • Prior exposure to digital health or AI preferred

Work Arrangement

  • In-person in San Francisco
  • Part-time: up to 10 hours per week
