Mercor is seeking experienced Energy System Experts to join a growing network of specialized professionals. This is a flexible, hourly contractor role ideal for seasoned engineers and consultants with deep expertise in power systems planning, operations, or distribution asset management.

Areas of Expertise (One or More Required)

• Transmission System Expansion Planning: Experience in long-term grid planning, capacity analysis, and infrastructure development strategies to support reliable and efficient power transmission.
• Transmission System Operations: Hands-on expertise in real-time grid operations, with a strong focus on power flow simulations and operational reliability management.
• Power Distribution System Asset Management / Field Inspection: Proven background in managing distribution assets, conducting field inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical background in electrical power systems
• Practical, industry-level experience in one or more of the listed domains
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Clear communication skills for technical collaboration
