Role Overview

As Engineering Manager, you will serve as the central owner for delivery planning, risk management, issue escalation, resource coordination, and release readiness. You will coordinate across PMs, QA, frontend, backend, data, and client-facing teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align cross-functional teams (frontend, backend, QA, data, automation, PM) on priorities and dependencies
  • Track progress daily, identify delays early, and take corrective actions
  • Break down projects into phases with clear ownership and timelines
  • Manage risks, blockers, and bottlenecks; drive escalations and resolutions proactively
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and trade-offs
  • Ensure QA, data quality checks, automation, and documentation are complete before release
  • Conduct go/no-go reviews and ensure release readiness with all critical issues resolved
  • Track delivery metrics (timelines, defects, utilization, risks) and drive continuous improvement

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of strong project and delivery management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with delivery planning, risk management, and escalation handling
  • Solid understanding of QA, engineering, and release processes
  • Ability to drive accountability and execution across distributed teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing SaaS, workflow, enterprise, or RL environment projects
  • Familiarity with frontend, backend, QA, automation, and data workflows
  • Experience with resource planning and capacity management
  • Understanding of delivery metrics, harness reports, and quality dashboards
  • Experience working with global or client-facing teams

Engagement Details

  • Employment Type: Contractor (no medical/paid leave benefits)
  • Duration: 8 weeks (expected start: next week)
  • Commitment Options: 20, 30, or 40 hours/week — minimum 4 hours/day with 4-hour PST overlap required
  • Eligible Locations: Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam
