Engineering PhD Expert | $65–75/hr | Remote: US, UK, CA, NZ, AU

Mercor is seeking highly qualified Engineering PhDs to join a pioneering project with a leading AI research lab. In this role, you will leverage your advanced subject matter expertise to create and review challenging, real-world engineering problems that will inform the next generation of AI innovation.

• Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate asynchronously with a team of top experts in your field.
  • Design, solve, and review complex engineering problems with practical applications.
  • Contribute 10–20 hours per week, with potential for increased hours and project extension.
  • Work fully remotely and on your own schedule.
• Ideal Qualifications:
  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering from a top US university.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Currently based in the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia.
• Additional Details:
  • Role begins in late September; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Short, paid interview and onboarding process.
  • Classified as an hourly contractor, paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
