English Language Specialist (AI Trainer) | $6–$65/hr | Remote – Canada

As a freelance AI Trainer, you'll help evaluate and improve large-scale language models by identifying linguistic errors, documenting failure modes, and contributing high-quality training data that powers the next generation of AI.

What You'll Do

• Engage advanced AI language models in structured conversations covering grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics
• Evaluate model responses for factual accuracy, logical soundness, and linguistic correctness
• Document reproducible error traces and edge cases in model reasoning
• Provide actionable feedback on prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
• Assess nuanced language topics such as verb tense and aspect, idiomatic expressions, pronunciation, and cultural context

What We're Looking For

• Strong command of English language structure and linguistic theory
• Degree in English Language, Linguistics, or a closely related field (preferred)
• Experience in teaching, peer-reviewed research, or hands-on linguistic analysis is a strong asset
• Ability to clearly articulate reasoning and communicate findings in a metacognitive, methodical way
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Compensation & Details
