English-Portuguese Business Meeting Translator at Mercor

Business Meeting Translator | $35–50/hr | Remote Worldwide

We are seeking an experienced English–Portuguese (Brazil) translator and interpreter to provide real-time translation support during sales and business meetings. You'll facilitate seamless bilingual communication in corporate settings, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate exchanges between English- and Portuguese-speaking participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during virtual or in-person business meetings
• Translate verbal discussions and written follow-ups including chat messages, key points, and summary notes
• Maintain professional tone and cultural sensitivity throughout all communications
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand meeting context, terminology, and objectives
• Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism standards

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an interpreter or translator in corporate, sales, or client-facing environments
• Native-level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and English (both spoken and written)
• Strong command of business terminology, particularly in sales, partnerships, and technology sectors
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to think quickly and convey ideas accurately under time pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience translating for startups, tech companies, or multinational organizations
• Background in sales enablement, client success, or business development
• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
