ESL Teacher Expert | $35–$70/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async & Paid Weekly

AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced ESL educators to help shape the future of AI language understanding. In this role, you will design and build language learning scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate model judgment and linguistic reasoning. Your pedagogical expertise will directly influence how AI systems understand and assess real-world English language use.

What You'll Do

• Create authentic, nuanced language learning scenarios for AI model evaluation
• Apply expertise in lesson planning, error correction, and proficiency assessment to inform scenario design
• Document your pedagogical reasoning clearly and thoroughly in written form
• Work asynchronously on a flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week

Requirements

• TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification, or a valid state ESL teaching license
• 2+ years of classroom or online ESL teaching experience
• Strong depth in lesson planning, error correction, and proficiency assessment
• Excellent written English for documenting pedagogical reasoning and methodology
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week

Compensation & Logistics

• Rate: $35–$70/hr based on experience
• Schedule: Fully async, work on your own time
• Payment: Paid weekly
• Location: 100% remote, open worldwide
