Excel Expert – IT Manager | $70–100/hr | Remote (US Only)

Join a leading AI lab's GenAI team and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of Large Language Models. We're looking for experienced IT management professionals who rely on Excel daily to contribute real-world expertise to AI training data development.

About the Role

This is a part-time, W-2 contract position with Cincinnatus LLC, placing you within an extended workforce at a top-tier AI lab. You'll work at least 20 hours per week on weekdays, applying your IT management background to improve AI model performance on Excel-based tasks.

Ideal candidates include: IT Managers, IT Directors, IT Operations Managers, IT Infrastructure Managers, and IT Program/PMO Managers who use Excel daily for budgeting, vendor management, license reconciliation, capacity planning, and operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance on Excel-based IT management tasks.
• Design realistic, domain-relevant Excel tasks from your professional experience and write accurate, well-structured solutions.
• Evaluate Excel tasks and solutions, providing clear and constructive written feedback.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in AI training data.

Core Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on Excel proficiency — nested formulas, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, dashboards, and built-in analytical tools. Power Query, Power Pivot, or VBA/macros experience is a plus.
• 5+ years in an in-house IT management or leadership role where Excel is a daily tool.
• Demonstrable career progression into senior IT management.
• Availability for at least 20 hours/week during weekdays.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be US-based.
