Summary

Join a leading GenAI team and help build foundational models. We are hiring Mathematics and Statistics subject matter experts to raise the quality of training data and guide research teams. This is a fully remote role with flexible hours and direct collaboration with lab researchers.

What you will do

• Advise research teams on closing knowledge gaps and improving model performance in your math domain

• Create and maintain precise annotation standards for your specialty

• Develop guidelines and rubrics to evaluate mathematical reasoning across tasks

• Design challenging, domain relevant problems and write clear, correct solutions

• Review tasks and solutions, then provide actionable written feedback

• Collaborate with other experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in datasets

Qualifications

• Location: Based in the United States

• Education: Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field, or elite competition credentials such as IMO or Putnam medalist

• Experience: At least 3 years in a math focused role at a reputable institution

• Expertise in one or more areas:

  • Foundations

  • Arithmetic

  • Algebra

  • Geometry

  • Trigonometry

  • Calculus

  • Probability and Statistics

  • Number Theory

  • Topology

What we offer

• Compensation of $110 to $130 per hour

• Flexible remote work with visible impact on advanced AI systems

• Initial engagement of 18 weeks, with potential extension based on project needs and performance

Time commitment

• Ideal availability of about 40 hours per week

• Minimum availability of about 20 hours per week

• Participation in calibration calls with the client team 2 to 5 times per week
