Expert Professional - Operations at Mercor

Operations SME – AI Training | $80–110/hr | Remote (US)

Join a leading AI lab's GenAI team as an Operations Subject Matter Expert, where your deep domain knowledge directly shapes the development of cutting-edge Large Language Models. This is a W-2 position through Cincinnatus LLC, placing you within an elite AI lab's extended workforce on a part-time, hourly basis (minimum 20 hrs/week).

Key Responsibilities

• Guide research teams in closing knowledge gaps and improving AI model performance in Operations-related domains.
• Design challenging, domain-relevant tasks and write accurate, well-structured solutions to complex Operations problems.
• Evaluate operational tasks and solutions, providing clear and constructive written feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy across AI training data.

Core Qualifications

• 8+ years of dedicated professional experience in Operations leadership at a recognized organization (e.g., Amazon, Google, McKinsey Operations Practice, GE, P&G, Uber, or comparable enterprise/high-growth company).
• Demonstrable career progression into senior operations leadership (e.g., Operations Manager → Director → VP of Operations or COO track).
• Availability for at least 20 hours/week during weekdays.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
