Turing is seeking an experienced fantasy sports and sports analytics professional to help fine-tune large language models (LLMs) by contributing domain expertise in fantasy sports mechanics, scoring logic, and league management. This is a short-term, high-impact contractor role ideal for someone with deep hands-on knowledge of fantasy sports ecosystems.

Role Overview

As a domain expert, you will evaluate and ground AI-generated outputs related to sports analytics and fantasy sports tools. You will translate complex league rules into structured logic, validate scoring formulas, and ensure AI outputs meet professional industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authoring Skills & Guardrails: Define discovery parameters such as sport type, league size, scoring format, and roster settings, along with guardrails for AI builders.
  • Context & Interview Co-Design: Co-design interview workflows and validate context files including player projections, roster exports, and custom scoring rule sets.
  • Grounding Golden Assets: Verify scoring formulas, standings and playoff logic, draft-value calculations, and validation lists for fantasy draft boards and game scoreboards.
  • Quality Sign-Off: Review and approve AI-generated outputs to ensure alignment with professional sports and fantasy industry standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sports analytics, fantasy sports content/tools development, or league commissioning.
  • Deep familiarity with diverse scoring systems (PPR vs. standard), draft rankings, player tiers, roster limits, and tiebreaker logic.
  • Strong professional writing skills with the ability to translate complex rules into deterministic spreadsheet formulas.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills for designing and calibrating fantasy draft boards and projection models.
  • Personal desktop or laptop with a stable, high-speed internet connection.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, or quality assurance is a plus but not required.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Contractor
  • Duration: Up to 2 weeks
  • Hours: 40 hours/week with 8 hours of overlap with PST
