Mercor is seeking experienced finance professionals to contribute to a cutting-edge AI training project with one of the world's leading research labs. This unique opportunity involves creating high-quality finance problems and developing comprehensive solutions to train advanced AI systems.

Role Overview

This is a project-based engagement expected to last 15-30 days with potential for extension. You'll work remotely, crafting domain-relevant finance challenges and solutions that meet professional industry standards. Experts from corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, and consulting backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design challenging, domain-relevant finance tasks across multiple specializations
• Write accurate and well-structured solutions to complex finance problems
• Develop clear, consistent reasoning flows that demonstrate professional-level thinking
• Ensure clarity, correctness, and alignment with finance industry standards
• Provide written feedback and clarification notes as needed

Ideal Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a finance-focused role (investment banking, FP&A, Big Four accounting, finance consulting, or similar)
• Strong understanding of core financial concepts including DCF analysis, financial modeling, capital structure, working capital management, and ROI/IRR analysis
• Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience with problem design or technical writing is a plus
