Finance & Insurance Practice Reviewer | $75–$90/hr | Remote (US)

Mercor is seeking experienced finance and insurance professionals to serve as AI Work Product Reviewers. This is not a role where you produce AI content — you audit it, applying your real-world expertise to evaluate whether AI-generated work meets professional standards in your field.

What You'll Do

Each review session (~1 hour per item) presents you with a complete AI agent attempt at a realistic finance or insurance task. You'll evaluate:

• Task Realism: Is this a genuine, plausible task from your field — or is it contrived?
• Domain Accuracy: Are the figures, regulations, standards, and constraints correct? Would a practitioner catch something wrong?
• Grading Validity: An AI grader answered 11 yes/no questions about the work. You review those answers with the files open and flag any disagreements.
• Score Defensibility: Band the work yourself — could a practitioner use or accept it? Then assess whether the reported score holds up.

Who We're Looking For

We are hiring across five specific roles. Please apply only to the one that matches your background:

• Financial Managers: Controllers, FP&A leads, treasury or finance directors with 5+ years owning a budget, forecast, or close.
• Securities, Commodities & Financial Services Sales Agents: Active Series 7 + 63 or 66, with 4+ years placing trades or managing a book.
• Personal Financial Advisors: 4+ years advising client households; CFP or Series 65 preferred.
• Financial & Investment Analysts: 3+ years building decision-driving models; CFA a plus.
• Customer Service Representatives: 4+ years on a bank, brokerage, or insurance carrier service desk handling claims, policy changes, or account servicing.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on expertise in your specific finance or insurance discipline
• Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, and/or US state insurance regulations
• Near-native business English writing ability (you'll write a brief rationale for every judgment)
• Comfort reviewing spreadsheets or PDFs and verifying that numbers reconcile

Not a Strong Fit

• Professionals who consume research but have never produced or reviewed it
• Candidates with experience exclusively outside the US regulatory framework

This is a flexible, hourly contractor engagement. Work is completed independently on a per-item basis.
