AfterQuery is looking for seasoned Financial Reporting Accountant Experts to help shape the next generation of AI-powered accounting tools. In this fully remote, flexible contractor role, you will design and evaluate complex financial reporting scenarios used to train and refine AI models — bridging the gap between real-world accounting expertise and cutting-edge technology.

What You'll Do

• Create and refine financial reporting challenges that test an AI's ability to interpret and apply complex accounting principles.
• Design realistic scenarios covering financial statement preparation, regulatory disclosures, and GAAP compliance.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and practical relevance.
• Provide expert insight that ensures AI models reflect real-world financial reporting standards and practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, SEC reporting, or technical accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
