Mercor is hiring creative arts professionals to collaborate on cutting-edge projects with leading AI labs and research organizations. We’re looking for skilled freelancers in copywriting, editorial, graphic design, illustration, animation, photography, video production, and motion graphics to help shape and refine AI-generated creative work.
You’ll use your expertise to review, enhance, and create high-quality assets that align with brand voice, style, and industry best practices—guiding AI systems toward polished, professional results.
As a Creative Arts Specialist, you may:
Review and refine AI-generated copy, scripts, storyboards, visuals, videos, and animations
Develop and maintain brand and style guides for consistent voice, tone, and visual identity
Provide structured, constructive feedback with clear rationale and actionable suggestions
Curate reference libraries and tag assets by genre, mood, style, medium, and audience
Create prompts, briefs, and sample assets to train and guide AI creative tools
Perform quality checks for resolution, color, typography, pacing, and accessibility
Identify potential policy, accessibility, or rights issues for review
2+ years professional experience in one or more creative fields: copywriting, editorial, design, illustration, animation, photography, video editing, or motion design
A strong portfolio or reel showcasing originality, technical skill, and creative range
Proficiency in industry tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Procreate, Blender, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, After Effects
Strong understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and storytelling
Experience writing clear creative briefs, feedback, and production-ready guidelines
Familiarity with generative AI creative tools and accessibility standards is a plus
Fully remote & asynchronous—work from anywhere
Flexible contract: typically 15–25 hrs/week, with optional availability up to 40 hrs/week
