Frontend Engineer Specialist | $90–140/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Engineer Specialist to join our team as a contractor. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with deep expertise in modern frontend technologies, component architecture, and performance optimization. You will play a key role in shaping frontend standards and contributing to technical decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Architect robust component systems and implement effective state management strategies
• Optimize application performance across rendering strategies including SSR, CSR, and SSG
• Ensure applications meet accessibility (a11y) standards and best practices
• Lead and participate in thorough code reviews to uphold code quality
• Produce clear technical documentation, including RFCs and ADRs, to guide architectural decisions

Required Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React and modern frontend ecosystems
• Deep understanding of component architecture and state management patterns
• Expertise in performance optimization and rendering strategies (SSR/CSR/SSG)
• Solid knowledge of web accessibility (a11y) guidelines
• Experience with technical writing, including RFCs and ADRs
