Funds Attorney | $80–105/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking an experienced Funds Attorney to join our legal team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in fund formation, fund management, and contract negotiations. You will play a critical role in structuring and advising on investment funds while ensuring all agreements are thoroughly reviewed and negotiated.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on and manage the formation and structuring of investment funds, including private equity, hedge funds, and venture capital vehicles.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of fund-related agreements and legal documents.
• Perform detailed contract redlining to identify and resolve legal risks and discrepancies.
• Lead and support contract negotiations with investors, counterparties, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements in fund operations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in fund formation and fund management within a law firm or in-house legal environment.
• Strong proficiency in contract redlining and negotiations.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.

This is a fully remote contractor engagement offering competitive hourly compensation between $80 and $105 per hour, commensurate with experience.
