Turing is seeking an experienced Game Design Subject Matter Expert to support the development and evaluation of high-quality, domain-specific AI training content. This is a 16-week, project-based freelance engagement ideal for seasoned game designers with deep expertise in progression systems, reward economies, and interactive mechanics.

Role Responsibilities

• Establish player personas and confirm recipe scope for AI training tasks.
• Co-lead simulated interviews, supplying progression curves, XP/reward balance, and quest/board mechanics.
• Validate leveling formulas, reward economies, game-state logic, and interactive board elements within a structured golden metaplan.
• Direct visual and domain alignment during builder/canvas iteration phases.
• Sign off on mechanics to ensure they are balanced and engaging per real-world game design standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience designing game systems (RPG progression, reward loops, gamification) in a studio, indie, or serious-games context.
• Practical fluency with leveling curves, XP economies, and quest/task board mechanics.
• Ability to express game mechanics as deterministic spreadsheet logic.
