Role Overview
This position supports a project with a foundational LLM company, focused on enhancing Large Language Models through high-quality proprietary data generation. Your contributions will be used for Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) and Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) — helping models become smarter, more accurate, and better aligned with user needs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, high-quality Python code to train and optimize AI models.
- Conduct model evaluations (Evals) to benchmark performance and analyze results for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and rank AI model responses across diverse domains, ensuring alignment with predefined quality criteria.
- Develop comprehensive explanations and rationales for evaluations, demonstrating strong reasoning and technical expertise.
- Lead SFT dataset creation — building and maintaining high-quality, task-specific training data.
- Collaborate with researchers and annotators to execute RLHF workflows and refine reward models.
- Design innovative evaluation strategies to improve model alignment with user needs and ethical guidelines.
- Create and refine optimal model responses, emphasizing clarity, relevance, and technical accuracy.
- Conduct thorough peer reviews of code and documentation, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve model performance and contribute to product enhancements.
- Continuously explore and integrate new tools, techniques, and methodologies into AI training processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to deconstruct complex problems into structured, logical steps
- Strong written communication skills in English
- Meticulous attention to detail and creativity in task design
- Demonstrated experience via LeetCode, HackerRank, GitHub, or similar platforms
Offer Details
- Commitment: Minimum 40 hours/week with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST
- Engagement Type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave benefits)
