Mercor is seeking sharp, analytical thinkers to evaluate AI-generated responses and deliver structured written feedback as part of high-impact AI research initiatives. This is a flexible, hourly contractor role ideal for detail-oriented professionals with strong critical reasoning and communication skills.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated responses across a variety of topics
• Provide clear, well-reasoned written feedback and structured rationales
• Apply detailed evaluation guidelines consistently and accurately
• Identify nuance, implicit meaning, and gaps in reasoning within AI outputs

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a top-100 globally ranked university (preferred)
• Strong analytical and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed task guidelines

Required Skills

• Strong critical reading skills with the ability to detect nuance and reasoning gaps
• Ability to write precise, well-evidenced rationales that go beyond surface-level observations
• Consistent, honest judgment — including the ability to deliver critical assessments when warranted
• Strict attention to detail and accurate application of structured evaluation frameworks
• Must be able to complete all work without the use of AI writing tools
