Healthcare Workflow Expert | $90–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is seeking experienced Healthcare Workflow Experts with deep, hands-on knowledge of clinical systems, revenue cycle tools, and payer platforms. In this role, you'll define and evaluate real-world workflows—going far beyond surface-level feature descriptions to capture how healthcare professionals actually operate these systems day-to-day.

This is an ideal opportunity for clinicians, healthcare operators, and IT professionals who have worked extensively with tools across radiology, lab systems, billing, pharmacy, or payer administration.

What You'll Do

• Map end-to-end healthcare workflows performed within specific tools, not just features
• Describe how clinical and administrative data flows across systems (intake → processing → decision → output)
• Provide deep, structured breakdowns of workflows such as prior authorization, imaging review, lab processing, and claims adjudication
• Identify decision points, compliance constraints, and edge cases within each workflow
• Evaluate what a competent operator (clinician, biller, analyst, etc.) should accomplish in each system
• Produce clear, detailed writeups within approximately 20 minutes per category

• RCM Ops Workbench: RCM/Billing & Claims (Epic Resolute, FinThrive, R1 RCM, Craneware), 340B Compliance (Secure340B, MacroHelix, HRSA OPAIS), Pharmacy Systems (ScriptPro, QS/1, Omnicell, Parata, RedSail)
• Clinical Intelligence Hub: Utilization management/medical necessity (MCG Health, InterQual, AIM Specialty Health), Prior authorization (CoverMyMeds), Drug information/clinical reference (First Databank, Merative/Micromedex, NCCN Guidelines), Population health/clinical analytics (IQVIA, Clarivate, Arcadia Analytics, Azara DRVS, Inovalon)
• Payer Admin Core: Cognizant, TriZetto/Facets, HealthEdge, HealthRules Payer, Oracle Health, Epic Beaker

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with at least one of the listed systems (multiple systems is a strong plus)
• Background in clinical care, healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or payer systems
• Ability to articulate detailed, real-world workflows—not just product features
• Strong understanding of healthcare processes and data flows
• Clear, structured written communication skills

Project Commitment

This engagement begins as a work trial of approximately 8 hours in total. Strong performance may lead to an extended long-term project commitment.
