Hobbyist Expert | Remote
Pay: $25 to $40 per hour • Hourly Contract • Flexible Hours
Mercor is seeking passionate hobby experts to contribute their deep knowledge to frontier AI research. If you are the go-to person in your community for advice, gear recommendations, or insider knowledge on your hobby, this is your opportunity to turn your passion into a professional contribution. Whether your expertise is in fashion, cooking, cars, technology, outdoor gear, or other niche domains, you will help AI models better understand and reason about real-world hobbies.
Provide expert-level product recommendations and detailed explanations in your hobby area.
Explain nuanced trade-offs and decision-making factors to guide AI understanding.
Collaborate in model training by crafting high-quality prompts and feedback.
Ensure outputs reflect accuracy, relevance, and practical insight.
5 to 10+ years of deep experience or over 10,000 hours in a specific hobby or interest area.
Recognized within your hobbyist community as a reviewer, contributor, or product tester.
Strong ability to communicate complex decisions clearly in writing.
Active engagement in hobby-related forums, events, or networks preferred.
Start Date: Immediate.
Duration: 5 weeks.
Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week.
Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous work with flexible hours.
$25 to $40 per hour USD, depending on experience.
Independent contractor status.
Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
