HVAC Expert | $50–$90/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async Contract

AFTERQUERY is seeking licensed HVAC technicians to help build diagnostic and system design scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate model judgment on real-world trade work. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay — ideal for experienced technicians looking to contribute their expertise beyond the field.

What You'll Do

• Develop realistic HVAC diagnosis and system design scenarios for AI model testing
• Document diagnostic reasoning clearly and thoroughly in written English
• Apply hands-on field knowledge to create technically accurate, challenging test cases
• Work asynchronously on a flexible schedule with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 certification (state HVAC license required where applicable)
• 2+ years of field experience in installation, service, or controls
• Strong working knowledge of refrigeration cycles, airflow, and load calculation
• Clear, professional written English for documenting technical reasoning
• Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week consistently

Compensation & Details

• Rate: $50–$90/hr based on experience
• Schedule: Fully asynchronous, flexible hours
