AFTERQUERY is seeking elite machine learning researchers and engineers with deep expertise in image generation and generative modeling for a short-term, high-impact project-based engagement. About the Role

This is a fully remote, asynchronous contractor position spanning 2–3 weeks, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week for accepted projects. Work is assigned on a project-by-project basis, giving you flexibility while engaging with cutting-edge research challenges.

What You'll Do

• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate state-of-the-art generative models
• Conduct applied research across diffusion models, GANs, and autoregressive image architectures
• Tackle frontier problems in generative AI including model development and rigorous evaluation
• Deliver high-quality research outputs on a project basis

Required Qualifications

• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed venue (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, or equivalent)
• Master's or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
• Demonstrated expertise in image generation, generative modeling, or closely related deep learning domains
