Interpreter and Translator (AI Training)

About the Role:
We’re looking for skilled Interpreters and Translators to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed for AI model training. Your expertise in language translation, interpretation, localization, and cultural context will help AI models accurately understand and replicate human communication nuances.
Key Responsibilities:
Write, review, and validate prompts and responses for AI training, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
Ensure AI-generated content accurately captures grammar, tone, idiomatic expressions, and domain-specific terminology.
Evaluate and refine AI-generated responses to match real-world interpretation and translation scenarios.
Maintain high standards of quality, cultural accuracy, and contextual appropriateness in all work.
Ideal Qualifications:
3+ years professional experience in interpretation or translation within academic, medical, legal, corporate, or diplomatic settings.
Bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or a related discipline.
Strong expertise in translating technical/legal documents, real-time or consecutive interpreting, localization, and maintaining translation glossaries.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Role Highlights:
Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase up to 40 hours.
Fully remote and asynchronous—work according to your own schedule.
Initial contract duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension.
Interview Process:
Complete an online AI-driven interview focusing on translation, interpretation, and cross-cultural communication.
Participate in a ~25-minute task where you’ll share your screen, write detailed prompts, and evaluate AI-generated translation and interpretation scenarios. (Please ensure screen-sharing permissions are enabled on your desktop/laptop browser before starting the interview.)
Applicants will be selected based on their interview performance and the accuracy and quality of their evaluations.
Compensation & Legal Details:
This is an hourly contractor position.
Payments are issued weekly via Stripe Connect.
