Investment Banking Expert | $150–220/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to bring on experienced investment banking professionals for an exciting evaluation project. In this role, you will not be producing banking deliverables — instead, you will define what excellent work looks like by designing grading criteria and rigorously scoring AI-generated and human work samples with well-reasoned written justifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design precise, task-specific grading criteria for real-world banking deliverables, including financial models, valuation analyses, pitch decks, CIMs, deal memos, and board/committee materials
• Score AI-generated and human work samples against established criteria, providing detailed written justifications for every score
• Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment to ensure scores are reproducible and defensible
• Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and iterate quickly on your assessments

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional investment banking experience at associate level or above
• Background at a leading global investment bank or elite advisory boutique, across M&A, coverage, or capital markets
• Deep fluency in three-statement and transaction modeling (DCF, LBO, comparables, merger math), valuation judgment, and deal-process materials
• Exceptionally strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate why work does or does not meet a professional standard
• Detail-oriented, consistent, and comfortable having your judgment reviewed and calibrated against peers
• Prior experience with AI training, evaluation, or human-data projects is a strong plus
