This is a short-term, part-time freelance engagement ideal for senior finance practitioners who want to contribute to cutting-edge AI development — no prior AI experience required.

Role Overview

You will review AI benchmark tasks modeled on realistic M&A scenarios, assessing whether each benchmark meets the standards expected by senior practitioners. Your evaluations will cover deal context, financial data quality, task design, scoring methodology, and model-generated solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Review AI benchmark tasks based on realistic buy-side M&A scenarios
  • Assess the realism and quality of deal assumptions, financial data, and task prompts
  • Evaluate scoring rubrics for accuracy, rigor, and resistance to gaming
  • Review model-generated answers and worked solutions against senior practitioner standards
  • Provide structured feedback to improve benchmark quality and evaluation methodology
  • Complete a short calibration round before beginning full review

Requirements

  • Senior Associate-level experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or M&A Advisory
  • Strong financial modeling and transaction analysis skills
  • Ability to distinguish technically correct outputs from supervisor-ready work product
  • Must be based in the United States

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience at a top-tier firm (e.g., Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Evercore, KKR, Blackstone, Apollo)
  • Experience supervising or training analysts and associates
  • CFA, CPA, MBA, or other relevant finance credentials
  • Prior experience evaluating investment memos or financial modeling assessments
