MICRO1 is seeking a skilled Japanese Language Expert to contribute to language audio projects on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a language professional to apply their expertise in a dynamic, remote environment.

Role Overview

As a generalist in the language audio domain, you will leverage your deep knowledge of the Japanese language to support a variety of tasks related to audio content, linguistic accuracy, and language quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and refine Japanese language audio content for accuracy and fluency
• Provide linguistic expertise to ensure cultural and contextual appropriateness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality language outputs
• Identify and correct errors in transcription, translation, or spoken Japanese content

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese
• Strong understanding of Japanese phonetics, grammar, and cultural nuances
• Prior experience in language audio, transcription, translation, or related fields preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting

Compensation & Details

• Rate: $65–$98/hr (based on experience)
• Engagement: Contract
• Location: Fully Remote (Worldwide)
