Labor & Employment Lawyer | $225–250/hr | UK-Based Remote

Mercor is recruiting UK-based, US-qualified Labor & Employment Lawyers for a research project with a leading frontier AI lab. This is a flexible contractor engagement ideal for experienced employment law practitioners looking to contribute to cutting-edge AI development.

About the Role

This project involves creating, reviewing, and evaluating realistic legal and workplace policy scenarios, drawing on your expertise in employment law, HR policies, compliance, and corporate advisory work. You will leverage your knowledge to help shape how AI systems understand and reason about complex labor and employment issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom with the right to work in the UK
• Must be qualified to practice law in the United States
• Professional experience in a Labor & Employment or Employment Law practice group
• Experience advising on or reviewing corporate workplace policies

Ideal Experience Includes

• Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and accommodation policies
• Wage and hour compliance
• Termination, discipline, and employee relations matters
• Multi-jurisdictional and multinational employment law issues

Preferred Firm Background

Candidates with experience at firms such as Baker McKenzie, Littler, Seyfarth Shaw, Squire Patton Boggs, Ogletree Deakins, Morgan Lewis, Paul Hastings, Proskauer, A&O Shearman, Hogan Lovells, Gibson Dunn, or another leading firm with a strong employment law practice are strongly encouraged to apply.
