Law Expert (AI Evaluation) | $100–$130/hr | Worldwide Remote | Part-Time

Mercor is seeking senior legal professionals to design and evaluate AI tasks for Fortune 500 legal contexts. Contributors build realistic enterprise legal scenarios, draft model-grade reference materials, and author rubrics that distinguish strong legal reasoning from surface-level AI output.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct enterprise legal scenarios spanning in-house counsel, regulatory, transactional, and litigation work for F500-scale organizations.
• Draft and review materials grounded in enterprise compliance regimes including FCPA, SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and sector-specific regulation across banking, healthcare, pharma, and insurance.
• Build evaluation tasks around enterprise contracting (MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, licensing) and M&A diligence at Fortune 500 transaction scale.
• Develop ERM and COSO-aligned risk scenarios, board-level reporting frameworks, and regulated-industry investigation workflows.
• Author detailed, criterion-referenced rubrics that reflect the judgment of a senior F500 attorney.

Ideal Qualifications

• 5+ years as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 or large public company, or as a partner/senior associate at an AmLaw 100 firm serving F500 clients.
• Deep expertise in one or more enterprise practice areas: M&A, securities, regulatory, employment, IP, privacy, or commercial contracting.
• Familiarity with CLM platforms (Ironclad, Agiloft, Icertis) and enterprise GRC tooling is a plus.
• JD with active bar admission required. Prior rubric, exam, or training-content authorship is advantageous.

Compensation & Commitment

• Hourly Rate: $100–$130/hr, determined by demonstrated expertise.
• Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week.
• Paid onboarding through the Mercor Rubric Academy to calibrate contributors before live work begins.
• Strong contributors advance into reviewer, lead, and domain SME roles with elevated compensation.
