Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to enhance how AI models process legal texts. We're seeking experienced legal professionals to create high-quality prompts and gold-standard answers across contracts, regulations, and case law for a supervised fine-tuning initiative.

Role Overview

This contract opportunity focuses on clause-level interpretation, reference tracking, and compliance logic. You'll work remotely on an asynchronous schedule, setting your own hours while contributing to cutting-edge AI development in the legal domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze legal documents including contracts, statutes, and case law
• Author high-quality answers demonstrating accurate legal reasoning
• Work with core sources such as statutes, contracts, white papers, and case law
• Ensure clarity, precision, and instructional value in each prompt/answer pair

Ideal Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent legal education required
• 2+ years of experience in legal analysis, drafting, or regulatory work
• Strong legal writing and comprehension skills
• Familiarity with contract clauses, exceptions, and inter-sectional references
