Join Mercor as a Legal Expert and play a pivotal role in shaping how advanced AI systems understand and process legal information. In this contract position, you will write, review, and validate prompt-based legal questions to ensure accuracy and real-world applicability.

• Leverage your expertise in legal research, writing, and case analysis to create high-quality training data for AI.
• Collaborate remotely with a flexible workload (10–20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 40 hours).
• Engage in fully asynchronous work, allowing you to set your own schedule.
• Initial contract duration is 1–2 months, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional legal experience in a law firm, in-house, government, or research setting.
• J.D., LL.M., or equivalent law degree from a top US, UK, or Canadian university.
• Licensed to practice law in the US, UK, or Canada.
• Strong legal research, writing, and case law analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and high attention to detail.
• Currently based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada.
