Legal Expert / Attorney | $70–110/hr | Worldwide Remote | 4–6 Week Contract

Mercor is seeking experienced attorneys and legal professionals to evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. This is a flexible, remote contract role where your real-world legal expertise directly shapes the quality of next-generation AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated legal memoranda, contracts, case analyses, and other legal artifacts for accuracy and quality.
• Compare AI-generated legal responses head-to-head, assessing legal reasoning, precedent application, and drafting rigor.
• Review complex legal scenarios involving litigation strategy, statutory interpretation, and client advisory decisions, then provide detailed expert feedback.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Lawyer, Attorney, Counsel, General Counsel, Prosecutor, or closely related legal role.
• Demonstrated experience in client representation (criminal and/or civil), legal drafting, or transactional legal advisory work.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week during the project duration.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Project Details

• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks
• Payment: Task-based initially; experts who complete their first task within the required timeline qualify for hourly compensation for the remainder of the project.
