Legal Expert – US Finance | $130–$170/hr | Remote (UK-Based)

Mercor is partnering with a leading foundational AI lab to recruit experienced UK-based legal professionals specialising in US finance law. This is a high-impact contract role focused on generating and reviewing training data for cutting-edge AI systems.

About the Role

You will contribute to a research project by creating, reviewing, and simulating realistic legal scenarios across complex finance and transactional matters. Your expertise will directly shape the quality of frontier AI models.

Key areas of focus include:

• Private equity transactions
• Cross-border mergers and acquisitions
• Leveraged buyouts (LBOs)
• Fund formation
• Regulatory filings
• Deal structuring and debt financing workstreams

Ideal Candidate Background

We are looking for professionals who have held roles such as:

• Associate
• Senior Associate
• Counsel
• Partner

Candidates with experience at Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins, or White & Case are strongly encouraged to apply. Strong PE or cross-border M&A experience from comparable US firms with a UK presence is equally welcome. US bar qualification is a plus.

Engagement Details

• Availability of up to 40 hours per week
