Legal Reviewer at Mercor

Legal Reviewer | $60/hr | Remote (US-Based)

Mercor is seeking experienced, US-based legal professionals to join our team as Legal Reviewers. In this role, you will create quality control rubrics and review large volumes of processed commercial legal documents — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established protocols. This is a review and verification role, not drafting or advisory work.

What You'll Do

• Develop clear, accessible rubrics for grading legal documents that can be understood and applied by non-lawyers
• Review processed legal documents against written QC rubrics, verifying that all identifying and sensitive elements have been correctly handled
• Flag and categorize defects, and escalate ambiguous cases for adjudication
• Work across a broad range of commercial document types, including contracts, employment records, IP agreements, regulatory filings, corporate records, insurance policies, financing instruments, litigation files, real estate documents, and tax filings

What We're Looking For

• US-based, qualified attorney with 3+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in-house or as a generalist commercial counsel
• Comfort and agility working across diverse document types and practice areas
• Experience in managed document review, e-discovery, contract management, or data privacy is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated precision and consistency in high-volume review environments
• Ability to follow written protocols closely and contribute to their improvement

Breadth of experience across commercial legal document types is valued more than deep specialization in a single area.
