AFTERQUERY is seeking licensed counseling professionals (LPC or LMHC) to help shape the future of AI safety. In this role, you will craft and evaluate realistic counseling scenarios used by frontier AI labs to test model judgment, ethical reasoning, and safety — work that directly influences how AI systems handle sensitive mental health contexts.

This is a fully remote, asynchronous contractor position offering competitive hourly pay and weekly payments, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, clinically accurate counseling scenarios for AI model evaluation
• Apply evidence-based modalities to construct realistic treatment and safety situations
• Conduct safety assessments and treatment planning within scenario frameworks
• Produce clear, well-documented clinical writing to support AI testing pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered LPC or LMHC license in the United States
• Minimum 2 years of post-licensure counseling practice
• Demonstrated experience in treatment planning, safety assessment, and evidence-based modalities
• Strong written English skills suitable for clinical documentation
• Ability to commit at least 10 hours per week on a consistent basis
