Linguistic Expert – Portuguese | $50–70/hr | Portugal

Join a leading AI research initiative as a Linguistic Expert specializing in European Portuguese. This part-time role (20–30 hours per week) offers the opportunity to shape the future of AI language systems by ensuring high-quality, culturally relevant, and accurate Portuguese language outputs.

• Work closely with AI researchers to review, evaluate, and annotate AI-generated text in Portuguese (Portugal) for grammatical accuracy, fluency, and cultural alignment.
• Provide expert feedback on grammar, semantics, style, and tone to enhance AI language models.
• Develop guidelines and documentation to improve consistency and quality in AI outputs.
• Collaborate with researchers to identify and address language-specific challenges and edge cases.
• Suggest improvements for training datasets and linguistic rules to refine AI performance.

Requirements:

• Native-level proficiency in European Portuguese and fluency in English.
• Strong command of grammar, syntax, semantics, and stylistics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Literature, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
• Experience in linguistic annotation, translation, or content review preferred.
• Familiarity with AI, NLP, or language technologies is a bonus.
