Lithuanian Audio Evaluator Expert | $50/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to find a skilled Lithuanian Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert. In this part-time, structured role, you will transcribe, annotate, and evaluate audio content to help train and benchmark cutting-edge multilingual language models. Ideal for detail-oriented candidates with strong Lithuanian and English fluency who are passionate about AI and language research.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe & Analyze Audio/Video: Listen to and transcribe Lithuanian audio and video content with high accuracy, capturing tone, intent, register, and regional variations.
• Define Evaluation Standards: Develop clear rubrics and grading guidelines in both Lithuanian and English, documenting standards to ensure consistency across reviewers.
• Model Testing & Grading: Run prompts through language models, assess outputs for accuracy, fluency, and completeness, and provide structured feedback to improve performance.
• Benchmarking & QA: Participate in quality assurance cycles, maintain dataset consistency, and collaborate with project leads to refine task design.

Minimum Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Lithuanian (spoken and written) and professional fluency in English.
• Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Availability to commit 10–20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• College students or recent graduates welcome.
• Background in linguistics, humanities, journalism, social sciences, or technical fields.
• Prior experience with transcription, annotation, localization, or research workflows in Lithuanian.
• Familiarity with dialectal variations such as Aukštaitian or Samogitian.
• Interest in AI, language models, or applied research environments.
