Join Turing — one of the world's fastest-growing AI companies — and help shape the next generation of large language models. As an LLM Trainer with a software engineering focus, you'll design realistic coding tasks, evaluate AI-generated solutions, and provide structured feedback that directly improves frontier model performance.

About Turing

Turing accelerates the advancement of powerful AI systems by partnering with leading AI labs to improve LLM reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making through high-quality human feedback, evaluation, and training data.

Role Overview

We're seeking experienced Software Engineers to contribute to cutting-edge AI model development. You'll leverage your engineering expertise to create realistic software scenarios, develop test cases, validate solutions, and help AI models tackle complex real-world programming challenges.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design realistic software engineering tasks that evaluate the reasoning and coding capabilities of frontier LLMs.
  • Write clear task descriptions, expected behaviors, metadata, and solution explanations.
  • Develop comprehensive test logic to validate model-generated solutions.
  • Review and improve AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, and best practices.
  • Create engineering scenarios covering feature implementation, bug fixing, refactoring, migration, and code porting.
  • Work across repositories in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Analyze model failures and provide structured feedback to improve future performance.
  • Collaborate with internal quality teams to ensure tasks meet project standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more of: Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, PHP, Ruby, or Rust.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with feature implementation, code migration, REST APIs, web applications, and networking software.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and engineering explanations.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written English communication skills.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Contractor assignment (no medical/paid leave)
  • Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week, at least 4 hours/day with 4-hour PST overlap
  • Duration: 2-month contract (expected start: next week)

Why Work With Turing?

  • Fully remote, flexible work environment.
  • Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI projects with leading LLM companies.
