Material Science/Engineering Expert | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking experienced Material Science and Material Engineering professionals to review and evaluate AI training problems developed for a leading frontier AI lab. This is a flexible, fully remote freelance role where you'll help ensure scientific accuracy and quality in next-generation AI research environments.

Role Overview:

• Review AI training problems and research environments built for a frontier AI lab
• Assess whether problems are scientifically realistic, well-designed, and correctly graded — not solving them yourself
• Each task typically takes 30–90 minutes to complete

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD OR 4+ years of professional experience in Material Science or Material Engineering
• Ability to start immediately
• Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations
• Excellent written communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Desktop or laptop with a reliable internet connection
