  • Prompt & Response Quality Assurance: Review, validate, and refine AI-generated prompts and responses for clarity, correctness, and conceptual depth. Tag and revise content to ensure it meets educational and technical standards.
  • Analytical & Conceptual Verification: Solve and verify materials science problems, ensuring data accuracy and sound reasoning. Identify and correct misconceptions in areas such as mechanical properties, crystal structures, and phase diagrams.
  • Scenario Analysis: Evaluate real-world case-based prompts for relevance and engineering rigor, including materials selection and failure analysis scenarios.
  • Research & Cross-Checking: Reference authoritative sources like Callister’s Materials Science and Engineering, ASM Handbooks, and peer-reviewed journals to ensure technical validity.
  • Structured Feedback: Provide detailed, actionable feedback to enhance the pedagogical effectiveness and technical rigor of AI-generated content.
  • Quality Monitoring: Ensure that prompt-response pairs effectively assess students’ understanding of materials science concepts and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in materials research, education, or engineering design.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Thermo-Calc, COMSOL, or mechanical testing software is a plus.

This is a remote, asynchronous contract role (approx. 20 hours over one week) open to candidates based in the US or Canada.
