Join a cutting-edge initiative to build one of the most challenging AI benchmarks in materials engineering. We're seeking a senior materials engineering professional to author rigorous, free-response questions designed to push the limits of today's most advanced AI language models.

What You'll Do

• Author original, expert-level free-response engineering problems rooted in real-world industry scenarios
• Write comprehensive, expert-level solutions for each problem you create
• Validate question difficulty by testing against three frontier AI language models — problems must stump at least one
• Contribute to a high-quality benchmark that advances AI evaluation in technical disciplines

Who We're Looking For

• PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgy, or a materials-focused Mechanical/Chemical Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on professional or industry experience in areas such as materials selection, failure analysis, testing, or process development
• Background with well-known or blue-chip employers is strongly preferred
• Ability to craft nuanced, technically demanding problems that challenge even the most capable AI systems
