Mercor is seeking Mathematics and Statistics Master's and PhD candidates (current students or graduates) for a premier project with one of the world's leading AI labs. Contribute your expertise to cutting-edge AI innovation by creating high-quality training data and developing challenging problems in your domain.

What You'll Do:

• Apply advanced mathematics expertise to inform state-of-the-art large language models
• Create complex, high-quality problems in mathematics and statistics
• Complete 4-6 tasks per week, each requiring several hours
• Work flexibly and asynchronously from anywhere

You're a Great Fit If You:

• Earned your undergraduate degree in the US, UK, Canada, or Western Europe
• Hold (or are pursuing) a graduate degree from a top US/UK/Canadian/Western European university
• Possess exceptional attention to detail
• Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Have excellent English proficiency
• Can follow complex instructions with precision

Project Details:

• Ongoing role starting November with rolling applications
• Current phase scoped for 1-2 months
• Fully remote and asynchronous work
• Hourly contractor classification
• Weekly payment via Stripe Connect
