Mathematics PhD Research Consultant | $70–140/hr | Remote

Join Mercor in partnership with a leading AI research group to advance the reasoning capabilities of AI systems. This contract role is ideal for recent Mathematics PhD graduates (within the past 4 years) or current PhD candidates (with at least 2 years in a top 30 mathematics program).

• Apply advanced mathematical expertise to solve and evaluate complex problems.
• Review and validate AI-generated proofs and solutions for rigor and correctness.
• Provide structured feedback to enhance mathematical reasoning models.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Mathematics (recent graduate) or PhD candidate (≥2 years in program).
• Top 30 mathematics program background.
• Active or recent experience in research or academia.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
