We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our applied engineering team as a contractor. This is a generalist role ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on technical environments and can contribute across the full product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models using industry-standard software
- Interpret and create technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Apply conceptual knowledge of stress analysis and FEA to support design decisions
- Produce clear and accurate technical documentation including design specs and tolerance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions on time
Required Skills
- Proficiency in one or more CAD platforms: SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Foundational understanding of structural analysis and finite element methods
- Experience writing technical documentation to professional standards
Compensation
This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $55–$100/hr, depending on experience and expertise.
