Mechanical Engineer | $55–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our applied engineering team as a contractor. This is a generalist role ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on technical environments and can contribute across the full product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models using industry-standard software
• Interpret and create technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances
• Apply conceptual knowledge of stress analysis and FEA to support design decisions
• Produce clear and accurate technical documentation including design specs and tolerance reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions on time

Required Skills

• Proficiency in one or more CAD platforms: SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Foundational understanding of structural analysis and finite element methods
• Experience writing technical documentation to professional standards

Compensation

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $55–$100/hr, depending on experience and expertise.
